Final Rites Held for Mrs. Lona Williams
Funeral was held Monday at 3 p.m. in Waldo Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Lona Williams, 67, formerly of Sherman, who died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. D.R. Burns, in Denton, Sunday.
Rev. W.Y. Ponds, Jr., pastor of Forest Avenue Baptist Church officiated.  Pallbearers were Bobbie Burns,  Bennie Burns, Jerry Harris, Don Harris, John Knox, Billy Campbell and Garland McAfee.  Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Conway, Arkansas, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hopper.  She came to Sherman 48 years ago and moved to Denison to make her home with her daughter 3 years ago.  She was a  member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are 2 sons, J.B. Williams of Desillia, California, and Don Williams of Tom Bean; 2 other daughters, Mrs. Fielder Harris of Tom Bean and Mrs. R.C. McAfee of Sherman; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
