Thomas J. Spencer Killed i n Car Wreck
Thomas J. Spencer, 55, of Sherman, formerly of the Pilot Grove community, southwest of Whitewright, was fatally injured in an automobile wreck at the intersection of Highway 75 and Perrin Field road between Sherman and Denison early Sunday morning. William D. Morgan, 51, also of Sherman, was killed in the same wreck.
Funeral services for Mr. Spencer were held in Sherman Monday.  The service was conducted by Rev. J.A. Ellis, pastor of the First Baptist in Sherman,  and Robert D. Blanks.
He is survived by 2 daughters who live in Denison, Mrs. C.L. Carter and Mrs. O.D. Walker. Two other daughters, Mr. A.L. Wesson and Miss Bernadyne Spencer, live in Dallas.  Other survivors include his wife in Dallas; his mother, Mrs. Martha Spencer of Pilot Grove; one son, Elmer Lee Spencer of Dallas and 3 sisters, Mrs. Pruda Alice Griffin, Miss Mandy Spencer and Miss Delia Spencer, all of Pilot Grove.

Funeral services for Thomas J. Spencer of Sherman, who died Sunday morning in a Sherman hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident on Highway 75, were held Monday afternoon at  2:30 at Barrett Funeral chapel in Sherman with Rev. J.A. Ellis and Robert D. Bankes, conducting the services.   Interment was in West Hill cemetery, Sherman.
Mr. Spencer was the brother of Mrs. C.L. Carter and Mrs. O.D. Walker, of Denison; and other relatives include 2 daughters, Mrs. A.L. Wesson and Miss Bernadyne Spencer of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. Martha L. Spencer of Whitewright; son, Elmer Lee Spencer of Dallas; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Pruda Alice Griffin, Miss Mandy Spencer, and Miss Delia Spencer of Whitewright.
