BABY BADLY BURNED
Little One Rescued From Burning Residence This Afternoon
About 2 o'clock this afternoon a residence at 1125 South Montgomery street was destroyed by fire.  A one-year-old baby boy who was in the building at the time was rescued but not until he had been badly burned.
The house was occupied by the family of Z.Z. Murray.  Mrs. Murray went across the street to a grocery store, leaving her children in the residence.  While at the grocery she noticed flames shooting from the top of the residence and by the time she got there the entire top of the house was ablaze.  She rescued the children but her baby boy one-year-old was badly burned on both arms, about the face and on the left foot.  The baby was lying on the bed when the fire broke out.
The house was completely destroyed with practically all the household goods.  Some insurance was carried on the building but none on the furniture.
