WIFE OF THE LATE JIM B WILSON IS VICTIM OF INFLUENZA AND PNEUMONIA
Following the death of her husband about 3 months ago, Mrs. Lula B. Wilson [sic], widow of the late Jim B. Wilson, passed away at the family home at King and Montgomery streets at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday evening.  Mrs. Wilson was sick but a short time, death resulting from influenza and pneumonia.  She was 39 years of age.
Mr.and Mrs. Jim B. Wilson were pioneer motion picture theatre owners of Sherman, opening the Dreamland Theatre on North Travis street and later opening the Jewel Theatre on the north side of the square.  They later opened the the Gem Theatre on North Travis street and operated both until Mr. Wilson's untimely death in the fall.  At that time Mr. Wilson was making plans for improvements and enlargements in his business and had also just completed a handsome brick home on Montgomery street at King.  He succumbed to the prevalent disease during the first epidemic and his wife followed last evening.
Surviving Mrs. Wilson is a 10-year-old son, Cecil; also her sister-in-law, Mrs. Annie K. Wilson, who was actively engaged in business with her.
News of Mrs. Wilson's death has caused genuine sorrow wherever she was known in business, church, and social circles.  She as in the prime of her life and her death, like that of her husband, was untimely.  As stated above, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were making plans for an enlargement of their business and had just completed a handsome residence, and there is no doubt that had they not succumbed to the fatal malady that their efforts would have been crowned with success and that one of the most successful businesses of its kind in North Texas would have resulted.
Funeral services will take place Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the family home at King and Montgomery streets, followed by interment in West Hill Cemetery.  The services will be conducted by Dr. B. Wrenn Webb, pastor of Grace Presbyterian church, of which Mrs. Wilson was a member.
The pall bearers will be Luther Cherry, Fred Hudson, Will Ely, B.B. Wilbanks, Homer Kyle, and Joe Korioth, active; F.Z. Edwards, Will Batsell, W.R. Brents, Judge J.A.L. Wolfe, S.C. Swain and L.L. Jobe, honorary.
Besides her son, Mrs. Wilson is survived by her father, E.H. Lucas, of Ada, Oklahoma; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. R.A. George of Van Alstyne; Misses Murry and Eunice Lucas of Ada, Oklahoma; and Robert Lucas of Kansas, Oklahoma.
