DEATH CLAIMS REV. J. H. REYNOLDS OF SHERMAN
Sherman, February 16 - Rev. J.H. Reynolds, 95 years old, Methodist minister, died here at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Until he was taken ill, he had been in good health and a regular attendant upon the services of Travis Street Methodist Church.  He was an enthusiastic member of the Noble Bible Class at the church and was always in his place Sunday morning.  Frequently he was called on to address the class.
Since his superannuation about 6 years ago, on the Sunday nearest his birthday, August 1, each year, he preached an anniversary sermon at Travis Street Methodist Church at the morning hour, and the church was always filled with people to hear him.
Uncle Johnnie Reynolds, as he was known to hundreds of people in the early day of Texas, when he was in his prime, was considered one of the best ministers in the North Texas Conference.
Funeral services were held at Travis Street Methodist Church Friday afternoon, conducted by Dr. Ed R. Barcus of Dallas, Rev. C.A. Spragins of Greenville, and Rev. C.M. Simpson of Sherman.
