Sherman - Graveside services for Margie "Tootsie" Dagnan Morse of Sherman, who died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Homestead of Sherman were held Wednesday afternoon, February 17, 2016 at West Hill Cemetery with Pastor Shawn Paschal officiating.
Margie "Tootsie" was born September 20, 1926 in Southmayd, Texas, daughter of Louise Roeder and Tone Dagnan.  She attended Southmayd schools and graduated as Valedictorian of her class.  She married Theodore B. Morse on June 11, 1945 in Sherman, Texas.  She was a lifelong resident of this area, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans auxiliary and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sherman, Texas.
She owned and operated T and T Grocery at the corner of Center and Rusk Streets in Sherman and also owned the Luella Super T Grocery for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers-in-law, Tommy Lawrence, Wayne Ross, Bill Homer, J.B. Morse; and 4 nieces.
Surviving are her son, Jerry Morse of Sherman; daughters, Pat Pierce and husband, Stan, of Tom Bean, Texas; Tammy Blankenship and husband, Allan, of Denison, Texas; sister, Jamie Ann Adkins of Howe, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Pam Dodson, Steve Pierce and Alicia Blankenship; 2 great-grandchildren, Shelby Dodson and Avery Dodson; 1 great-great-grandchild, Amy McClain; sisters-in-law, Retha Mayo and husband, Kenneth; Edna Morse; Claudette and Jo Ann Morse; 1 special niece, Cheryl Hickman along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers were Steve Pierce, Avery Dodson, Tad Murley, Tracey Goldston, Chad McClain, and Jeff Farris.
Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
