MRS. ANNA LULA MAXWELL
Died at Home of Her Parents, Rev. and Mrs. J.L. Morris, Yesterday

Mrs. Anna Lula Maxwell, aged 26 years, wife of W.R. Maxwell, and daughter of Rev. and Mrs. J.L. Morris, died shortly after 5 o'clock yesterday morning at the family residence on N. Travis street after an illness of about 2 weeks' duration.  Blood poison, followed by a complication of diseases, was the immediate cause of her death, and for several days she had been lingering between life and death.  The news of her passing away was received with a deep regret on the part of many of her friends, not only in this city but in many other places as well.  She had been married only a short while, her husband, W.R. Maxwell, being head bookkeeper for the Murphy Dry Goods Company of this city.  She was the daughter of Rev. J.L. Morris, pastor of the Travis Street Methodist church and was among the most prominent church workers in the city.  For several months she had had charge of a Sunday school class in the Methodist Sunday school and was also prominent in Epworth League work.
The fiuneral services were held at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home and were conducted by Rev. Dr. A.L. Andrews, presiding elder of the Sherman district, assisted by other Methodist clergymen.  Following the service the body was conveyed to West Hill cemetery where it was laid to rest.  The funeral procession was one of the longest that has been seen in Sherman in many months and the floral offerings were among the most beautiful ever seen here.  The Sunday School class of which the deceased was teacher attended in a body and one of the beautiful floral offerings was the one sent by the class.
Out of respect for the deceased and the family there were no services at the Travis Street Methodist church yesterday nor last night.
