VETERAN SHERMAN RETAILER IS DEAD
Herman Parsons, 59, Dies Very Suddenly

Sherman, December 5 - Herman Parsons, assistant manager of the Beecham Dry Goods Company of this city, died suddenly Saturday night about 11 o'clock while in his room at Fred Schlosser's, 307 West Laurel street.
Mr. Parsons, who was 59 years of age, came to Texas from New York about 20 years ago and made his home in Dallas until 5 years ago when he came to Sherman to accept a position with Mason & Brackney Co., which later was purchased by L.L. Beacham.
Mr. Parsons worked all day Saturday and appeared to be in his usual health when he left the store about 9 o'clock that night, for his room.  Shortly before 11 o'clock Mrs. Schlosser hear Mr. Parsons calling and when she reached his room, she found him dying.
Physicians state that death resulted from apoplexy.
Mr. Parsons' wife died about a year ago and his nearest relatives are a nephew, who resides in San Antonio, and a cousin of Savannah, Georgia.  It is stated that the nephew is expected to arrive in Sherman Monday.
The body will be buried in the West Hill Cemetery Tuesday.
