Evelyn Adams Sutherland, 72, of Sherman went onto her great Heavenly reward on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Baylor Medical Center in McKinney, Texas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Pathway Church of God, Sherman, Texas with Rev. Terry Cripe, Rev. Don Russell and Rev. Bill Lee officiating.  Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenny Sutherland, Rusty Sutherland, Jonathan Sutherland, Mac McCoy, Carl Robbins and Robert Cripe.
Honorary pallbearers were Clayton Irwin, Dominie Johnson-Cripe, Josh Lappin and Brad Lappin.
Evelyn was born April 7, 1942 in Sherman, Texas, daughter of Luther Andrew Adams and Margaret Louise Adams.  She met Chester Lee Sutherland in church and married the love of her life on September 8, 1957.  Chester always considered Evelyn his beloved wife, best friend, spiritual rock, foundation and cornerstone and they will be together forever.
Evelyn was the matriarch of her family.  Affectionately known as Moni, she was a faithful servant to God who devoted her life to serving him.  She taught Sunday School for many years and loved teaching the children about Jesus.  She was a member of Pathway Church of God.  She loved to read her Bible and listen to gospel music.  She loved to cook and have family gatherings, especially at the holidays.  Her loving and giving spirit went out to everyone - she never met a stranger.  Her greatest desire was to be a faithful Christian, go to Heaven, meet Jesus and greet all her family there someday.
Survivors include her husband; son, Rusty and wife, Donna, Sutherland, son and daughter-in-law; Lana and Carl Robbin, daughter and son-in-law; Deana and Mac McCoy, daughter and son-in-law; grandchildren, Jonathan Sutherland; Cheryl and Charles Spillman; Katie Babb; Jessica and Michael Nowlin; Amber Sutherland; Clayton Irwin; Josh and Audra Lappin; Brad and Brandy Lappin; Amanda Ray; and special granddaughter, Chastina and Robert Cripe; 23 great-grandchildren; one niece, Patricia Hubbard; and adopted niece, Nancy Carey.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Margaret Louise and Walter Williamson; father, Luther Andrew Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Artis Ann and Pete Hubbard; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Sutherland; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Epsy and Lonnie Sutherland.


Chester Lee Sutherland, 81, of Sherman, Texas went onto his Heavenly reward on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Friday morning, March 15, 2019 at Pathway Church of God in Sherman with Rev. Charles Richter and Rev. Don Russell officiating.  Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Sutherland, Clayton Irwin, Mac McCoy, Robert Cripe, Dominie "Pookie" Johnson-Cripe, Ashton Sutherland, Mark McVeigh, R.J. Walker and Roy Hess.
Chester was born August 20, 1937 in Sherman, Texas, son of Lonnie and Epsy Sutherland.  He met Evelyn Adams in church and married the love of his life on September 8, 1957; they celebrated 57 blessed years together before her death in 2015.
Chester and Evelyn owned and operated C&E Discount Glass and Mirror for several years before retiring.  Chester was a member of Pathway Church of God.  He loved reading his Bible, listening to anointed gospel music, and holiday family gatherings.  His greatest desire was to be a faithful Christian, go to Heaven, meet Jesus and greet all his family already there.
Survivors include Kenny and Donna Sutherland; Lana Robbins; Deana and Mac McCoy and Chastina Cripe; grandchildren, Chastina and Robert Cripe; Jonathan and Rebekkah Sutherland; Cheryl and Charles Spillman; Jessica and Michael Nowlin; Amber Sutherland and Mark McVeigh; Clayton and Ashley Irwin; Katie Babb and Miranda Hess; and R.J. Walker; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces, Patricia Hubbard, Nancy Carey, Sondra and Jerry Griffin, and Erica and Tonya and Tommy Johnson.
Preceded in death by his wife; parents; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Sutherland; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louise and Walter Williamson; brother, Dudley Bradberry; and sisters, Joyce Baker and Noreen House.
