Denison - Rev. Kenneth Webster Phea, formerly of Denison, Texas, went home to be with our heavenly father on December 11, 1999.  Rev, Phea was born in Bonham, Texas on April 11, 1939, son of Leaodus Phea and Mae Della Galbreath Phea.  He attended Terrell High School in Denison, Texas and Grayson County Junior College.  He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Battle Division.  After his tour with the service, he was employed with Babcock Bros. as a maintenance technician for 5 years.  In 1964 he was employed with the U.S. Civil Service at Perrin Air Force Base.
Services for Rev. Phea were held December 16, 1999 at Daniel Gray CME Church with Pastor Jack Castle officiating.  Burial was in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.  Pallbearers were Danny Kelley, James Scruggs, Henry Marine, III, Otis Manuel, Cecil Rhodes, Jr., Adan Aleman, Jimmy L. Criss, Jr., Jessie Lock.  Honorary pallbearers were Jack Butler, Lyndon Butler, James Earl Jones, Wilbert Malyern, Bro. Morgan Brown, Bro. Fred Rhine, and Bro. Gary Gittens.
He is preceded in death by his parents in 1960 and 1962; and one sister, Laverna Bell Jones.
He is survived by his children, sons, Kenneth W, Phea, II, Leaodus L. Phea and wife, Gwen; John Phea and wife, Donna; C. DeWayne Phea and wife, Lisa, all of Sherman; Andre Phea of Houston Texas; daugthers, Mae Della Phea-Hall of Sherman; Mildred Ann Palmer of Rowlett, Texas; one brother, Keith McShan of Sherman; one sister, Connie Wright of Denison; one aunt, Viola Mildred Gilbreath-Scott of Las Vegas, Nevada; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
