 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas The Celina Record Thursday, December 18, 1930 pg. 1 GOVERNMENT TRAPPER SLAIN: MAN IS CHARGED Sherman, Texas, December 12 - R.L. Anderson, 49, Government trapper, was shot and killed near Preston Bend Friday. Allen Bailey, 25, who had been working with Anderson, was placed in the Grayson County jail on a charge of murder. Anderson was found lying in a pool of blood in a bedroom of a small house about 2 miles west of the Preston Bend store. Two bullets had gone through his head. MAN SHOT TO DEATH AT PRESTON BEND Sherman, December 13 - R.L. Anderson, 49, was shot to death near Preston Bend late yesterday and A.D. Bailey, 25, made a statement to Deputy Sheriff John Roberts at Denison with reference to the shooting. Anderson and Bailey had lived in the same community since November 1.
