Frances P. Sutherland, 95, passed away April 28, 2012.  She spent the last few weeks at Texoma Medical Center but had recently been moved back to Texoma Specialty Care where she died peacefully under the loving care of Guardian Hospice and the many nurses and staff there.
Frances had spent the last 11 years as a resident of Texoma Speciality Care Nursing Home.  She left many friends at this location and was respectfully known as "Mom."  She loved animals and always had at least one dog and cat in her home.  She was a retired Air Force wife and as such saw many interesting places in the world as well as in the United States.
She was born January 16, 1917 in Sherman, Texas.

Frances was a long-time member of the Central Christian Church of Sherman.  She had not had the opportunity to attend services for many years but her heart was still with the membership.
Fraces was survived by her loving son, John Freddy Brevelle; 3 adopted daughters, Karen Aleta Ronning of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Vanessa Gale Kringen of Minot, North Dakota; and Karyn Marie Doyle of Ladonia.
She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Her granddaughter, Beverly Jackson, spent many hours with her at the hospital and nursing home prior to her death.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Sutherland; and her son, James L. Brevelle.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, May 1, 2012 at West Hill Cemetery with Pastor Gary Gibbs of The First Christian Church of Van Alstyne, Texas, officiating.
