MRS. SID ANSLEY DEAD
Pioneer Sherman Woman Passed Away Yesterday Morning After Several Weeks' Illness

Mrs. Pattie Moore Ansley, 61 years old, a pioneer citizen of Sherman, died about 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. C. Wilson, 422 S. Crockett street.   Mrs. Ansley suffered a stroke of paralysis some time ago and was confined to her bed for several weeks.  She was thought to be improving, however, and was up and about the house.  She was found in her room about 8 o'clock yesterday morning, unconscious and in a dying condition.
Mrs. Ansley is survived by her husband, Sid Ansley, a pioneer citizen of this city; a son, Rayburn Ansley of Rogers, Arkansas; and a daughter, Mrs. Lewis V. Sproull of Jacksonville, Florida.  She is also survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Pope of Cordelia, Georgia; and Mrs. C. Wilson of this city; and a brother, LaFayette Moore of Jacksonville, Florida.  None of the family except Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Sproull were with her when the end came.  Mrs. Ansley's son was here for some time, but returned home a few days ago, as his mother seemed much improved and out of danger.  Mr. Ansley was out of town on business and did not return until a late hour that night.  Funeral arrangements will not be announced until the other out-of-town relatives arrive.
Mrs. Ansley was born in Fayette, Alabama, September 26, 1856, and was married to Mr. Ansley on July 7, 1878.  They have lived in Sherman for the last 40 years.
Mrs. Ansley has long been a member of the Grace Presbyterian church.  She was a true Christian woman and devoted much of her time and means to deeds of charity and kindness, of which few people knew.  Mrs. Ansley had raised and educated several orphan boys and started them out in life.  Her death will leave a vacancy in the hearts of those about her which will not soon be filled and to them The Courier extends its sincerest sympathy in their hour of sorrow.

CITIZEN FOUND DEAD IN DALLAS, PIONEER
Sidney C. Ansley Was Sherman Business Man

Sherman, October 17 - Word was received in Sherman Monday morning that Sidney C. Ansley, formerly of this city, died suddenly in Dallas Sunday night, while stopping at the Campbell House.
Mr. Ansley was one of the pioneer citizens of Sherman and his death will be learned with deep regret by a large portion of the Sherman citizenship.  He lived in Sherman about 40 years and was for a number of years a member of the Moore and Ansley Dry Goods company of this city, which was located on N. Texas street.  At other periods of his residence here he was connected with a number of business firms of Sherman, and later traveled for a St. Louis clothing company.  A few years ago Mr. Ansley moved to Rodger, Arkansas, where he and his son owned a large apple orchard.  It appears that Mr. Ansley was enjoying his usual good health when he left for a business trip to Dallas, where he died.
He is survived by one son, Raymond Ansley of Rodgers, Arkansas; and one daughter, Mrs. Vera Seymour of Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed but he will be buried at West Hill cemetery, Sherman, by the side of his wife, who died several years ago.
