Cornelius Van Wynen, 76, of 630 Denison Dr., died early Tuesday at his home after a long illness.  Funeral services were held Wednesday at Barrett Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. J. Allen Smith, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, conducted the services.  Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Clarence Bogard, Raymond Gingles, H.R. Anderson, Wm. S. Meredith, J.D. Richardson, and Carl Keller.
Mr. Van Wynen was born January 26, 1890 in Slidrecht, The Netherlands, the son of Cornelius and Pietje Boogard Van Wynen.  He married Cora Jacoba Daansen on August 8, 1918, and they came to the United States in 1921.
For many years he was employed by the Todd Division of the Burroughs Corporation in Rochester, New York.  Upon his retirement in 1955, he and his wife moved to Sherman.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Van Wynen is survived by his wife of Sherman; daughter, Mrs. A.J. Thomas, Jr. of Dallas; three sisters,  Miss Pietje Van Wynen of Bergenop-Zoom, The Netherlands; Mrs. Martina Bravenboer of Dorrecht, The Netherlands and Mrs. Adriana Laagendyke of Vlissigen, The Netherlands.

Jacoba Cora Van Wynen, 99-year-old Sherman resident, died Tuesday at her home. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Dannel Funeral Chapel.  Officiating was Rev. Ben McAnally of the First Presbyterian Church in Sherman. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Van Wyene was born in the Netherlands, the daughter of Anna De Vouw and Pieter Daansen. In August 1918, she married Cornelius Van Wynen.
In May 1912, she and her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Rochester, N.Y. She became an American citizen in 1928.
During World War II, she was a war industry worker, and was employed by Kodak and Delco. In 1958, they moved to Sherman to be closer to their daughter. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sherman and the Women's Afternoon Circle there, the Highway Club and Royal Neighbors.
Surviving is her daughter, Ann Van Wynen Thomas of Preston Peninsula.
