March 18, 1993 A-12 DALLAS - Graveside services for Jewel Edna Vicknair, 77, of Dallas, who died March 16, 1993, in the Doctors Hospital in Dallas, will be 2 p.m. Friday in the West Hill Cemetery under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Father Thomas Speiser will officiate. Mrs. Vicknair was born Dec. 26, 1915, in the Hagerman community, daughter of John F. Chesnut and Lessie Viola Willingham Chesnut. She married Charles Vicknair April 12, 1942 in Dallas. She was a retired beautician and worked several years in Sherman, Dallas, Washington and New Orleans. Mrs. Vicknair attended Plainview and Hagerman schools and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Dallas. Surviving are her husband; daughter, Charlotte Benton of Mandeville, La.; two brothers, Ernest Chesnut, Cecil Chesnut, both of Sherman; two sisters, Ethel Ball of Denver, Colo, and Ora Lee Watson of Dallas. The family will be at the funeral home from noon until service time Friday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.735 Sherman or the Lions Club Eye Bank.
