Graveside services for Alice French Reynolds, 84, of Sherman who died Sunday, May 31, 1998 at Community Medical Center of Sherman were held Tuesday afternoon at West Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Loftus Nunley and Rev. Cass French officiated.  Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reynolds was born September 4, 1913 in Sherman, daughter of C.A. French and Lou Della Henshaw French.  She graduated from Sherman High School in 1931.  On January 21, 1933 in Sherman, she married Lelmer C. Reynolds.  She was a secretary for the federal government and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class.  She was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employes.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lelmer C. Reynolds, Jr..
Surviving are her husband of Sherman; sisters, Martha French Hopkins of Tyler and Jeanne French Reynolds of Ft. Worth; niece, Martha Jeanne Reed of Quitman; newphews, John Hopkins, Richard Reynolds, Harold Groner, Jess Crouch and Mark Hopkins.

Graveside services for Lelmer C. Reynolds, 85, a Grayson county native who died Sunday, November 22, 1998 in Sherman were held  at West Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Cass French, pastor of Pecan Grove Baptist Church officiated.  Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Mr. Reynolds was born July 18, 1913 in Grayson County, son of Charlie and Jennie Flowers Reynolds.  He attended Sherman High School where he lettered in football and track, holding the state shot put record in U.I.L. Athletic Competition for a number of years.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1938.  He served with distinction for over 30 years in the U.S. Department of Agriculture where he held several positions in the south and southeast.  One of his notable accomplishments was planning and completion of the landscape work on the historic Natchez Trace.
On January 21, 1934 he married Alice F. French in Sherman.  They were married 64 years.  Mr. Reynolds was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sherman, and the local chapter of the National Association of Federal Employees.
He was preceded in death by his wife; their son, Lelmer C. "Sonny" Reynolds; his parents and 2 brothers, Van Reynolds and Elmer Reynolds of Bells.
He is survived by a brother, Delmer Z. Reynolds of Sherman; and a sister, Fannie Reynolds Ayres of Bells; nieces, Dovie Halliburton Robbins of Bells; Mary Groner of Sulphur Springs; and Martha Reed of Quiteman; nephews, Richard Reynolds of Sherman; John Hopkins of Tyler; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  Lelmer was known to them and his many friends as "Uncle Lel" or "Pappy".
Pallbearers were Donald Ayres, Richard Reynolds, John Hopkins, Harold Groner, Hoyt Layman, Marion Reed, Jess Crouch, Zeke Atkins, and Ed Davidson.

Lelmer C. Reynolds, Jr., 2 -year-old son of  Mr. and Mrs. Lelmer C. Reynolds of Huntsville, died at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday at a local hospital following an illness of 3 days.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Dannel-Scott Chapel with Dr. J.A. Ellis, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was at West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Reynolds, Delmer Reynolds and Roy Ayers, all of Bells and Van Reynolds of Sherman.
Lelmer, Jr. was born April 21, 1940 in Sherman.  The family resides in Huntsville and the child became ill while on a visit here.
Surviving are the parents; grandparents, Charlie Reynolds of Bells and Mr. and Mrs. C.A. French of Sherman; great-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Flowers and Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Reynolds of Bells.
