Jarrott "JJ" Tracy, 82, of Sherman, Texas, passed away Saturday,
November 11, 2017 at The Belmont at Twin Creeks in Allen, Texas.
Graveside service was held Thursday afternoon at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Rev. J. Wesley Evans officiated. JJ was born in Sherman, Texas on July 14, 1935, son of Homer and Tennie Tracy. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Canada, May 25, 1962. They had 53 wonderful years together. He served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves for 22 years and worked at the Sherman Democrat where he retired as Advertising Director after 51 ye ars. He was active in the Jaycee's, Lions Club, Boys and Girls Club of Sherman. JJ was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at Lake Texoma with fa mily and friends. He was a devoted hus band, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; parents, Homer and Tennie Tracy; brother, Richard Tracy; and grandson, Joshua Tracy.
