Clara E. "Nannie" Walker, 92-year-old former longtime Sherman resident and matriarch of the Franklin Family, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995 in Buffalo, New York.
Miss Walker was born in Southmayd, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary E. (Roberts) Walker and sister of the late Reatha (Rev. H.W.) Franklin.
She was a longtime member and choir member of Harmony Baptist Church and had served as worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are her niece, Consuelo Parker of Sherman; nephews, Joseph S. (Chrissy) Franklin of Austin and Clarence D. (Susan) Franklin of Buffalo.
Also surviving are 15 great-nieces and nephews and 23 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at the home of Annetta Franklin, 1106 North Sam Rayburn in Sherman, prior to a graveside memorial to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 1995 in West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
