 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Sherman - Patricia Owens, 64, transitioned from time to eternity Monday, December 24, 2018 at the McKinney Medical Center after an extended illness. A beautiful life began on April 28, 1954 in Ft, Worth, Texas. The love of David C. Johnson and Doris Faye Young Johnson brought forth a beautiful baby girl named Patricia Ann Young. Patricia was the oldes of 7 children born to this union. Patricia was educated in Ft. Worth public schools and graduated from I.M. Terrell High School. Pat accepted Christ into her liufe at a very young age, becoming a member of the Church of Christ. Patricia sang in a gospel group with her sisters, Dollie, Mary and Loritha on a Sunday morning gospel radio program ministered by her father. In 1976 Patricia met and married Ray Charles Roberson and to this union 2 children were born, Cedrick and Cher'Ron Roberson. In 1979 Pat met Ronnie Owens; they married in 1985 and from this union one child was born, Kenneth Owens. Over the years Pat worked at several jobs, a nurse's aid, secretary for the Fort Police Department and sales person at Montgomery Wards. It wasn't until she was hired by North Texas Federation of Families where she found her calling, working with the disabled and children with special needs. On December 24, 2018 Pat answered the Lord's call home. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers who died at birth; her parents; and brother, Michael Shaffer (children Deborah and Michael, Jr.) and son, Kenyon Owens. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Ronnie Owens; daughter, Cher'Ron Roberson; sons, Cedrick Roberson (child Ariel), Kenneth Owens; sisters, Daisy Gray (children, Beverly, Bridget, Kimberly); Dollie Mitchell (children, Nikketa, Damien); Mary Hopkins and husband, Winda (children, Cicely, Marquita, Stephen, Nicholas); Loritha "Rita" Johnson-Hill and husband, Brandon (children, Ryan, Victoria, Pierce); Shirra Bennett and husband, Ricky (children, Kendala, Kendrick, Keyana); Jacqui McCoy; Daveeda Johnson (children, Alyssia, James IV, Sierra, Ingrid); and God-Sister, Dorothy Bennett and husband, Floyd; her only living aunt and uncle, Frankie Hardy (children, WIlliam and Laveeda); and Phillip Young (child, Felicia); and a host of nieces and nephews who loved and cherished their aunt. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, January 4, 2019 in the Parkview Church of Christ in Sherman with Bro. Welton Stoker officiating. Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to James E.
