Price, 83, passed away at Clyde Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Services were held at Greater Life Community Church, Sherman, Texas on Tuesday afternoon, March 27, 2012 with Rev. Donnie Copeland and Rev. Gordon Winslow, Jr. officiating. Interment followed after services at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Pallbearers were Bobby Price, Paul Price, Jerry Price, Kevin Price, Larry Price and Johnny Orr. Honorary family members included the Donel Sample family and the Gene Hux family. Don was born June 11, 1928 in Gunter, son of Oscar and Euna Price. He retired from his service in the U.S. Army and retired from E-Systems in Greenville, Texas after 30 years. Don is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Iona Billy Price; children, Melba Sue McBride of Houston; Larry Payne of Houston; and Ann Spencer of Sherman; one brother, one brother-in-law, and 2 sisters; and a multitude of family and friends.
