Services for Delores J. Stevens, 83, who passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Texas Health  Presbyterian-WNJ were held Saturday morning, January 8, 2011 at Dannel Funeral Home.  Interment was at West Hill Cemetery.
Delores was born October 27, 1927, daughter of Peter B. and Elizabeth Jantz Unruth in Meno, Oklahoma and was the 6th of 7 children of a large Mennonite family.  After she started her own family, she enjoyed preparing large meals during the holidays and was a great cook.
Delores graduated high school from the Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno, Oklahoma. She moved to Grayson County in 1967 and retired from Texas Instruments after 23 years of service.  She was a former member of the Morton St. Church of Christ and became a member of the Park Avenue Church of Christ in January 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Mahaffey and husband, Scott, of of Denison; sons, Rick Stevens and wife, Shirley, of Sherman; Randy Stevens and wife, Theresa, of San Angelo; grandchildren, Christopher Mahaffey of Nashville, Tennessee; Kimberly Bones and husband, Gary, of Carrolton; Roland Mahaffey of Denison; Patrick Mahaffey of College Station; Melanie Mahaffey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Melissa Holbrook and husband, Josh, of Sherman; Dustin Stevens of San Angelo; and Jacquelyn Stevens of San Angelo; and one great-grandchild, Ethan Bones.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Harold and Melvin Unruth; 4 sisters, Virgie Koehn, Dorothy Koehn, Elvera Jantz, and Florene Bergman; the father of her children, Ralph Stevens; and one grandson, Keith Jones.
Pallbearers were Christopher Mahaffey, Roland Mahaffey, Patrick Mahaffey, Gary Bones, Dustin Stevens and Josh Holbrook.
