Sherman - Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Oley LeJeune was held Friday morning, September 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery.  Mr. LeJeune, 90, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Sherman.
Joseph was born January 12, 1928 in Pine Prairie, Louisiana, son of Ulysse and Oliza Leger LeJeune.  He served in the U.S. Navy and married Therese Fontenot in Ville Platte in October 1953.  Mr. LeJeune retired after 25 years at the Bayou Bouef Locks in Morgan City, Louisiana and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Mr. LeJeune is survived by his wife, Therese of Sherman (formerly Ville Platte); 2 daughters, Patricia Grotheer and Rebecca LeJeune, both of Sherman; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and an infant son, Joseph Faron LeJeune. - - - Waldo Funeral Home.



Sherman - Mass of Christian Burial for Therese F. LeJeune was held Friday morning, October 5 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial followed in West Hill Cemetery.  Mrs. LeJeune, 93, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home in Sherman after a lengthy illness.
Therese was born June 23, 1925 in Ville Platte, Louisiana, daughter of Diselin and Beula Lafleur Fontenot.  Therese married Joseph LeJeune October 22, 1953 in Ville Platte.  She was a devoted wife, mother and an excellent homemaker.  She loved cooking, sewing and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Mrs. LeJeune is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Grotheer and Rebecca LeJeune, both of Sherman; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 2 brothers; one sister; and an infant son, Joseph Faron LeJeune.
A rosary was recited Wednesday evening at Waldo Funeral Home.
