John Robert Schultz, 66, entered into eternal life Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center after a brave battle with many medical challenges.  John was born in Rockville Centre, New York July 28, 1952 to Joseph M. and Mary Lorraine Harris Schultz.  He lived there until he moved to Brownsville, Texas at age 8.  He grew up on his step-dad's shrimping boats.  At age 18 he joined the Army and was stationed at several bases across the US.  John served during the Vietnam War and after 5 years of service to his country, he settled in Wenatchee, Washington.  This is where he met the love of his life, Terry Weldon.  They were married at Ohme Gardens on June 3, 1976.  Together they raised 4 incredible children.  For many years, he was very involved with classic car shows, stock car racing, softball, golf, fishing and poker.  He made many lifelong friends from those activities.  John never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone out.  John cherished his wife, children, grandchildren and two fur babies.  They lived in Washingston state until 1994, when he was transferred to Texas with Schwan's Ice Cream.  He then went to work for Andrew's Distribution in Denison.  After a few years at Andrew's, he left to work for several concrete companies in the area.  Ultimately returning to Schwan's in 2005.  In 2006 John had heart surgery and had complications during the surgery, which caused him to become disabled.  For the last 20 years he had battled with deadly cancers and side effects caused by Agent Orange that was used in Vietnam to defoliate the jungle.
