10 July 1931 - 10 January 1992 FN US Navy Korea  Linda Elizabeth Randolph Newman 1939 - 2011  Sherman - A memorial service for Linda Elizabeth Randolph Newman was held Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Linda passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. She was born March 3, 1939 in Sherman to Jack and Mary Lawrence Randolph. She was educated in Sherman public schools and graduated from high school in Alaska. She also attended TWU in Denton. On May 21, 1960 she married James R. Newman. The couple resided in Sherman where Jimmy was engaged in real estate and property management. To this union was born one daughter, Jamie Elizabeth Newman. Jimmy passed away in January 1992. Linda was later married to John Thomas and he passed away May 2009. She atteneded Covenant Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Serendipity Sunday school class. She loved to paint and was an accomplished artist. She was also an excellent seamstress and did alterations for several years. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and brother, Sydney Randolph, she is survived by her daughter, Jamie Elizabeth Newman of Denison; brother, John Randolph of Purcell, Oklahoma; newphew, Jack Randolph of Springfield, Missouri; grand-nephew and several cousins and friends.
