St 2-c William E. Walton, son of Mr. William E. Walton, Sr., husband of the former Miss Billie Joe Durham, attended Fred Douglass High School and Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tennessee.
Entered the Navy October 1943, trained at Bremerton, Washington.  Served in Pearl Harbor, Leyte, Marshall Islands, Tarawa, Guam, Saipan, Marianas, Manila, Philippines and Okinawa, now on duty somewhere in the Pacific.
Has 7 Battle Stars.
