 Bess Lucas McElroy 1895 - 1949 The Denison Daily Herald Wednesday, March 21, 1906 pg. 3 NECROLOGICAL Sherman, Tex., March 20 - Mrs. S.E. King, wife of J.W. King, aged 62 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Lucas, last night, after a lingering illness. Besides Mrs. Lucas, she is survived by three sons, Dr. J.I. King and Elzy King of Sherman, and John B. King of Gainesville. She had resided in Sherman a number of years and had been a member of the Christian Church for forty years. The funeral took place from the Lucas home this afternoon, services being conducted by Elder J.H. Lawson, pastor of the Houston Street Christian Church. Interment was in West Hill Cemetery.
