Sherman - A Celebration of Life for Ms. Ada Estella Mask, 96, of Sherman was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church in Sherman, with Bishop W. Charles Niblet officiating and Rev. Dwight Thomas delivering the Eulogy.
Ms. Tate was born October 14, 1921 to Uriah and Zephyr Tate in Sherman, Texas.  In 1938 she married William "Sonny" Arrie Mask.  She enjoyed singing in the church choir, helping other and taking walks to explore God's glory.  Ada entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert E. Mask; brothers, Gilbert Tate, O.C. Tate, Cecil Tate and Ralph Tate; sisters, Mary Hodridge, Sarah Boyd, Naomi Galloway and Thelma McFalls.
Her memories will be cherished by her children, William L. Mask and wife, Joyce, of Sherman; Mildred Thacker and husband, Enright, of Fresno, California; and Ada Marie Hudson and husband, Billy Joe, of Sherman; 27 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
The Mask family is under the personal care of the Cravens Funeral Home.


Sherman - Ada Marie Hudson was born May 19, 1944, in  Blue Creek, Texas, the 4th child born to Ada Estella Tate and William "Sonny" Arrie Mask.  She was the mother of 6 children.  Ada retired from Burlington after a 35 year career and was the co-owner of Lady L Boutique in downtown Sherman, Texas.  Ada was a  member of the Black Mystic social club.   She served as Vice President of the Executive Board, President of the Usher Board, Finance Committee and was the church mother at God's House of Faith & Worship Center.
Adam Marie Hudson entered into her heavenly home on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Homestead of Denison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert E. Mask; daughter, Dianna Marie Anderson Cook.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Billy Joe Hudson of Sherman, Texas; her brothers, William Mask, Mark Mask and Danny Wilson; her sisters, Mildred Thacker and Marcie Jefferson; children: Donna Kaye Anderson; Tiniya Martin and husband, Karl; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many other family members who she loved and adored.
Her life journey was commemorated in celebration on Saturday morning, January 2, 2020 in the blessed halls of Harmony Baptist church.  She was laid to rest in West Hill Cemetery.

The Hudson family was in the personal care of the Cravens Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
