Odis Richard Lemmons was born in Manchester, Tennessee.  He died unexpectedly at his home in Ambrose, Texas.
A farmer most of his life, he lived in Woodville, Oklahoma before moving to Denison, Texas.  He was employed at the Denison Motor Company.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Kingston, Oklahoma, the Masonic Lodge and Veterans of World War I.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Christian Lemmons; two daughters, Mrs. Sam Mitchell of Texarkana and Mrs. Margaret McLerran of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. W.I. Lemmons of Kingston; two sisters, Mrs. Monroe Russell of Kingstone and Mrs. Clemmie Coley of Denison; and seven brothers, Leland Lemmons of Saper, Oklahoma; Elmer Lemmons of Madill, Oklahoma; Fred Lemmons of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Andrew and R.L. Lemmons of Kingston; Dillard Lemmons of New Mexico; and Gene Lemmons of San Angelo, Texas.
Funeral services were under the direction of Bratcher-Moore Funeral Home in Denison and were conducted at the funeral home chapel by Rev. Monroe Ayers of Madill, Oklahoma.
