At 10:30 the remains of the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson of North Broughton street was laid away in the quiet city of the dead.  Around the little coffin in which so cold and still the little one rested were gathered her Sunday school mates with many little dimpled checks were traced by pearly tears as the last look was bestowed upon their little friend, over whose golden head the sunlight of but eight summers had passed, but who is now smiling down from the peace of Paradise upon her little friends whom she loved on earth.  The coffin was decked with a beautiful wreath of green and white flowers bestowed by her teacher in the Willow Street Methodist Church.  To the bereaved parents of the Register offers its sympathies and trust that the knowledge they have a little jewel beyond the skies may sooth the sorrow of the loss.

DEATH
Again has the grim harvester paid the home and fireside of Jno. Wilson, of Broughton street, a call.  This time another little jewel has been plucked from the family circle and transplanted to the realms of peace, there to live forever a vindication of the of the Savior's words when he said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven."  What purer gem, what sweeter acquistion can Heaven ask for in all of its immaculate purity dare hope to receive than the guleless spirit freed from that tiny earthly casket yesterday.  Weep on mother, weep on father, two gems have been taken from your home and the loss is bitter, but in after years, when you travel the path that leads from earth to the great mysterious beyond, you will hear the of little angel wings, and will then feel that the Maker, in his divine Providence, willed it well when he took them before to guide your steps along the valley of death.
The burial services of the little one who was verging into her third year, took place at the family residence and was conducted by Rev. J.S. Moore of the First Presbyterian church.  The remains were laid away in the city cemetery and now two mounds are side by side and two empty chairs are set aside hallowed by the bright little treasures who once occupied them.  The Register offers its sympathies to the bereaved ones.
