 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   Jerry Lee Lawrence 16 June 1941 - 26 June 2008 PFC US Army  The Herald Democrat July 1, 2008 Sherman - Jerry Lee Lawrence, 67, of Sherman passed away Thursday, June 26, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was buried at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the veteran's section of West Hill Cemetery with Dr. Eddy Johnson of Grayson Bible Baptist Church officiating. He was born June 16, 1941. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW in Sherman. After the Army, he worked at the old Community Hospital until they moved to Medical Plaza Hospital where he stayed until he retired. He loved "tinkering" and repairing old cars. He was a member of Texoma Cruisers and won tropies from different car shows. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Dona B. and Jack Lawrence; brothers, J.L., Les, Ross and Johnson; and sister, Mary Francis McTeel He is survived by his sister, Ida Onley; one son, two daughters; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
