The Sherman Daily Democrat Monday, March 27, 1911 pg. 6 MRS. MARY HOLMES Died Yesterday Morning at the Home in North Willow Street Mrs. Mary Holmes, aged 35 years, wife of Geo. Edwin Holmes, captain of the Fifth Ward Fire Department station, died at the home, 115 N. Willow street, shortly after 7 o'clock yesterday morning after an illness of several days' duration. The deceased had been in ill health for some time and for the past few days had been in critical condition and while her death was hardly unexpected, it was heard of with profound and deep regret on the part of many friends in Sherman. Besides her husband, she is survived by 3 children, one son and two daughters. The funeral services were held this afternoon at the Key Memorial Methodist Church and were conducted by Rev. J.R. Atchley, pastor of the Key Memorial Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery.
