Jones, 72, were held at the Earnheart Chapel, conducted by Rev. U.C. Broach. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Pallbearers were W.E. Denton, Ezra Bow Beckett, Lloyd Alexander, Doyle Alexander, Earl Denton and Clarence Jones. Mr. Jones died at his home in Sherman at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday after a long illness. Born July 8, 1881, Mr. Jones was the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Jones. He had lived in the Bethel community practically all of his life, and operated a grocery store and filling station at Bethel for 25 years. He is survived by a brother, George Jones, of Amarillo; and a sister, Mrs. J.L. Denton, of Whitewright.
