Funeral services for Mable B. Jeter, 81, of Sherman were held Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro; burial followed at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman.  Arrangements under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman.
Mable was born in Friona, Texas, daughter of Ira Bartlett and Luskie Cooper; she married Billy J. Jeter in Gainesville, Texas on  June 5, 1949.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro and was a discussion leader in Bible Study Fellowship International for many years.
She is survived by her husband; son, Brent Jeter and wife Tracy of Bells; grandchildren, Joseph Zanti, Bradley Zanti, Jason Jeter and Lydia Jeter; four great-grandchildren, Haley Zanti, Julie Zanti, Jacque Zanti, and Jessica Zanti.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Aubry Bartlett of Idalou, Texas; sister, Margaret Blount of Gainesville, Texas; daughter Jacque Zanti of Arlington, Texas.



Billy Joe Jeter, 93, passed away April 17, 2018 at The Woodlands in Denison.
Graveside services were held Friday morning, April 20, 2018 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.  A memorial service followed Friday afternoon, April 20, 2018 at First Methodist Church in Whitesboro, Texas.
Billy was born December 3, 1924 in Sherman, son of Clyde Jeter and Alice Cooper Jeter.  Billy graduated from Sherman High School in 1941.  On December 3, 1942 he entered the U.S. Navy, where he served his country in the Pacific Theater, Guadalcanal, Tarawa.  He was married to Mable Bartlett June 5, 1949.
After his military service he worked for Smith Corona Corporation until his retirement.  Billy was involved in coaching and scouting.  He will be remembered as a Christian husband, father and grandfather with a servant's heart.
Billy is survived by his sons, Brent Jeter and Asgeir Andreassen and wife, Heidi; grandchildren, Joseph Zanti, Bradley Zanti, Jason Jeter, Lydia Jeter; great-grandchildren, Julie Zanti, Haley Zanti, Jacquie Zanti, and Jessica Zanti.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and daughter, Jacquie Zanti. - - - Waldo Funeral Home.
