Sherman - David F. Harrington, 66, of Sherman died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his residence.  A Rosary was recited at Dannel Funeral Home Thursday evening, January 24 at 7 p.m. with Deacon John LeBlanc officiating.  Mass of the Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sherman at 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Antonio Aureus officiating.  Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery.
David was born at Niagra Falls, New York July 22, 1946, the son of William J. Harrington and Marjorie Cavagnaro.  He graduated from school in Gasport, New York and entered the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War.  He received several decorations including the Purple Heart.  He and his wife, Joan, were married January 23, 1971 in Lockport, New York.  They moved to Dallas in 1971 and to Sherman in 1991.
David is survived by his wife; son Jason R. Harrington; brothers, William J. Harrington (April), Donald Harrington, Kevin Harrington (Beverly), Kent Harrington, Jeffery Harrington (Barb), Roy Harrington (Heidi), Steve Harrington (Lynn), Andrew Harrington, Nick Harrington, Glen Harrington; sisters, Mary Kay Harrington and Christa WIlliams; 17 nieces; 9 nephews; 10 great-nephews; 11 great-nieces and the Cavagnaro family of Dallas.
