Mrs. Hardaway Dies Wednesday
Mrs. Edna Lois Hardaway, 81, housewife died last Wednesday evening in a Sherman nursing home after an extended illness.  Her home was at 5295 Harvey Lane, Denison.
Services were held Saturday at Renfro-Barren Funeral chapel, conducted by Rev. Bill Robinson, pastor of Dorchester Baptist Church, assisted by Bill Campbell.
Mrs. Hardaway was born August 16, 1888 in Calhoun, Georgia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Presley.  She married M.S. Hardaway April 3, 1904 in Dorchester, Grayson Co., Texas.  He died in 1944.  Mrs. Hardaway had been a resident of this area for 73 years; she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers.
She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Martha Douglas of Pottsboro; Mrs. Faye Wilson of Denison; Mrs. Maydee Sullivan of Glen Dale, California; two sisters, Mrs. N.W. Daugherty of Howe and Mrs. Lewis Ford of Sherman; one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren.
Burial was in West Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers were W.A. Tucker, Jack Taylor, T.L. Taylor, Cody Shaw, Carroll Canady, and Aubrey Presley.
