Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Greater New Hope Baptist Church of Granville Wright, 63, Negro, of 716 E. Pecan, who died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday in his home after a long illness.
The Rev. W. R. Gray, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, directed by Everett Funeral Home.
Wright was born April 4, 1897 in Quitman County, a son of Wiley Wright and wife. In 1939 he married Miss Mae Bell Porter. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Artie Wright of Austin; a sister, Mrs. Terrie Ward of Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, Silas B. Wright of San Diego, Calif.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Dorene Tatum; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
