 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Denison Herald January 31, 1991 Page 2 SHERMAN - Former Sherman resident Gladys Lorena Washington, 86, died Tuesday in a McKinney hospital. Funeral were held Friday afternoon in Payne Chapel AME church, with Rev. S.L. Green officiating. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Boyd-Smith-White Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Miss Washington, a resident of Hilltop Haven nursing home, was born March 30, 1904, in Sherman, daughter of M.D. and Annie Bell Washington. She was educated at Fred Douglass High School. Miss Washington, retired, had been a professional cook. She was a member of Payne Chapel AME church.
