DENISON - Our Lord came for J.D.Walton at his home on December 6, 1995 at 10:20 a.m.
We said good-bye to J.D., 64, of Denison, at noon December 8, 1995. Services were conducted at the Waldo Chapel with Rev. Houston Brumit officiating. Interment was held at the West Hill Cemetery.
J.D. was born to this world on October 19, 1931, in Bokchito, the proud son of Wyatt Walton and Leona Hopper. He later united in marriage to Shirley Ennis on February 12, 1981.
In life he served his country in the army during the Korean War for eight years. He had worked for the Western Union Telegraph for 18 years and later in life he became a nightclub owner. J.D. helped our community as a painter for 15 years and later retired. He praised our Lord at the Harvest Street Assembly of God.
J.D. will be missed by his wife, Shirley Walton of Denison; five daughters, Angela Deforest of California and Catherine Eppler of Denison; Bonnie Trapp of Sherman; Connie Mears of Greenville; and Jamie Webb of Gainesville; a brother, Buster Walton of Denison; a sister, Billy Kennon of Pottsboro.  Mr. Walton will always be loved and remembered by his six grandchildren and a large extended family.
Pallbearers were Jim Hix, Chris Hix, Mark Traweek, Tracy Traweek, Paul Walton and Corey Evans.
