Sam Townsend Brought Back for Burial Funeral services were held this afternoon at S. Johns C.M.E. chapel on west Houston street, over Rev. Sam Townsend one of its first pastors, but who has lived for several years in Dallas. His death occurred of consumption, in that city yesterday, and the body was brought to Sherman for burial.
