A Celebration of Life for Fannie Mae Myers, 93, was held Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011 at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Bro. James Moore of Fairview Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were her grandsons, B.J. Harris, Keith Vawter, Ryan Weger, Robert Harris, Ivan Harris, Chris Harris, J.T. Beavers, and Mark Owens.  Honorary pallbearers were also her grandsons, Gordan Weger III, Kenneth Vawter, Michael Owens, Ray Harris, and Nathan Harris.
Fannie Mae was born June 3, 1918 in Sanger, Texas to Harmon Belcher and Alice Hames Belcher and passed from this life Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
Mrs. Myers worked as a homemaker all of her life, raising eleven children.  She was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys.  She loved listening to country and bluegrass music, and enjoyed going to Las Vegas at least once a year.  Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were most important in her life.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ivan Julius Harris, Homer Ronald Beavers, and Ray Myers; son, Harmon "Shorty" Harris; grandsons, Jeffrey and Phillip Edward Harris; great-grandson, Anthony Johnson; four brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Doyle Harris and wife, Jeanne, of Larue, Tecas; Joe Harris and wife, Janice; David Harris; Charles Harris and wife, Becky, all of Sherman; Jack Harris and wife, Sally, of Denison; Ronny Beavers and wife, Fran, of Lampasas; and Tommy Beavers of Sherman; daughters, Helen Rhudy and husband, Joe; Lena Weger and husband, Gordan, both of Denison; Doris Canales and husband, Oscar; and Mary Alice Vawter, both of Sherman; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille "Sis" Adcock and husband, Buddy, of Denton; and Lucy Jean Belcher of Sanger; and a brother, E.W. Belcher and wife, Wanda, of Sanger.  And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
