Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at the Independent Springs C.M.E. Church for Mrs. Nora Mask, 78, who died at 4:20 p.m. Monday following a heart attack.  Rev. L. Johnson officiated with burial in West Hill Cemetery. Everett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mask, who lived at 2237 East Tuck Street, was born February 25, 1894 in Independent Springs, Texas, the daughter of Robert and Sarah Boyd.  She married Arthur Mask in Independent Springs and was a member of the Independent Springs C.M.E. Church.  She moved to Sherman in 1954.
Survivors include two sons, Nelson and Augusta Mask, both of Sherman; five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Patterson, Mrs. Rosie L. Luper, Ms. Brazil Cannon and Mrs. Gladys Bowen, all of Sherman, and Mrs. Vera L. Orr of Van Alstyne; 32 grandchildren; and one brother, Alex Boyd of Sherman.
Mrs. Mask's grandsons served as pallbearers.
