Maxine Calhoun Feb 16, 1936 - Jun 26, 2011 Graveside services for Maxine Calhoun, age 75, of Sherman, TX will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX. Rev. Rene Menjivar will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. She passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her residence in Sherman, TX. Maxine was born on Sunday, February 16, 1936, in Seminole, OK the daughter of Ted and Edith Hale Bruce. She married Paul Calhoun on April 28, 1959 in Seminole, OK. He preceded her in death on May 10th 2000. Maxine worked as a Librarian Aide at Piner Middle School starting in the fall of 1984. She loved going to the school and she loved working with the children. Maxine is survived by her two daughters, Paula Diane Calhoun-Sindik of Beeville, TX and Vicki Maloney and husband David of Keller, TX, one grandson, Patrick Maloney, four sisters, Connie Gaines and husband Bob of Henryetta, OK, Betty Phillips and husband Fred of Moore, OK, Teddie Cae Knizek and husband Mike of Seminole, OK and Tessie Robertson of Seminole, OK, two brothers, Ted Bruce, Jr. and wife Kay of Shawnee, OK and Barry Bruce and wife Jennifer of Del City, OK. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
