Robert H. Bell, 86, born May 2, 1924, died peacefully July 28, 2010 after a brief illness at Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born to Aucy Leon and Molly Reed Bell in Woodbine.
Surviors are wife, Rose Bell; daughters, Karen Young of Whitesboro and Shirley Bolton and son-in-law, Robert Bolton, of Lewisville; stepson, Blake Nichols of Farmers Branch; grandchildren, Derek Young of Denison; Jordan Young of Whitesboro and Cory Bolton of Denver, Colorado; and step-grandson, Zack Durbin of New York.
He was a long-time member of North Hills Baptist Church of Whitesboro.  He married Mary Lois Marlin on August 23, 1944 and was married 51 years upon her death in December 1995.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Hazel Beaver, Sylvia Tepner, Lucille Hart, and Edna Mann; and brother, John Reed Bell.
He was in the Army from 1943 - 1946, stationed in Italy as a guard.  He retired in 1988 from Grumman Industries.
Services were Friday, July 30, 2010 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Whitesboro Oakwood Cemetery.  Rev. John Reynolds of North Hills Baptist Church officiated.  Pallbearers were Derek Young, Jordan Young, Blake Nichols, Zack Durbin, and William Chambers.
