Bettye Helen Gleghorn

Funeral services for Bettye Helen Gleghorn were held Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro.
She died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center, Sherman.
The daughter of Jesse Lee and Adelia Smith Roundtree, she was born April 3, 1920 in Irving, Texas.  She graduated from Irving High School and had worked in sales for Hancock Fabrics in Irving.  She attended College Street Church of Christ in Gunter, was a member of the Red Hatters in Gunter, and a member of the Rainbow Connection Choir in Mesquite.  She was also a painter and loved to write poetry.
Survivors are her daughters, Camille Blackwell of Canton; Rita Brooks and husband, Randy, of Sadler; and Robbie Geyer of Texas; sister, Geraldine Jepson of Mesquite; brother, Charles Roundtree and wife, Peggy, of Ennis; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-granchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Roberta Roundtree; and daughter, Carla Gulley.
