FARMERS BRANCH - Memorial services for Jennifer Acker, 37, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Jack Wallace officiating.  A private graveside service will precede the memorial service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro.  Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Jennifer passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at RHD Memorial Hospital in Farmers Branch.
She was born July 8, 1971 in Sherman to Johnny Acker and Glenda (Hickman-Acker) Carlisle.  Jennifer was a graduate of Texas A&M University and dearly loved the Aggies.  She also earned two Masters degrees from the University of North Texas.  Jennifer was presently employed as the assistant director of the Manske Library in Farmers Branch.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Glenda and Rick Carlisle of Tioga; father and step-mother, Johnny and Sharion Acker of Whitesboro; a brother, John Acker, of Austin; a stepbrother, Jeremy Quatacker of Carmel, California; and grandparents, Joe and McRee Hickman of Tioga and Gladys Acker of Whitesboro.
