WHITESBORO - Funeral Services for Kenneth “Ken” Harris Biggers, 86, were held Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Whitesboro with Rev. Ken Hildebrand officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
He was born to Luther White and Mildred (Harris) Biggers, July 2, 1929, on a farm 3 miles East of Whitesboro. He died Saturday, October 10, 2015, at The Homestead in Sherman, Texas, with his family by his side.
He graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1946.
He married Betty Jean (Van Zandt) Biggers September 4, 1948, in Whitesboro, Texas.
He and Betty returned to Whitesboro from Denver, Colorado, after 30 years working for Baker Hughes Tool Company, and retired as a Regional Manager over offices in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, California, New Mexico and Colorado. Ken was a Mason for 60 years, was a member of Lodge #263 and was a former Worshipful Master. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher of the Fishermen’s class and had served as president of the Methodist Men.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Martha Jean Keith, of Houston; Margaret Ann Ives and husband, Rick of Allen; and Marilyn Elizabeth Biggers of Whitesboro; former son-in-law, Jim Casey of McKinney; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Delay, Brad Casey, Alyson Casey and Amelia Casey; sister, Dorothy Voss of Enid, Oklahoma, and 2 great grandchildren, Brittany Delay and Jeremiah Delay; 1 great-great grandchild, C. J. Delay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mildred Biggers.

Funeral services for Betty Jean Biggers, 86 of Whitesboro, Texas were held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2 o'clock p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro with Rev. Adam Spore officiating.  Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.  Betty passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.  Meador Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born to Orus Ross and Minnie Jewel (Davis) Van Zandt on September 28, 1930, in Tioga, Texas.  She married Kenneth Harris Biggers September 4, 1948 in Whitesboro, Texas; they were married over 66 years before his passing in October 2015.  Betty was an accountant and housewife.  She loved to garden, sew and cook.
Betty is survived by  her daughters, Martha Jean Keith of Houston, Margaret Anne Ives and husband, Rick, of Allen and Marilyn Elizabeth Biggers of Whitesboro; former son-in-law, Jim Casey of McKinney; 4 grandchildren: Christopher Delay, Brad Casey, Alyson Casey, and Amelia Burden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers and four sisters. - - - Meador Funeral Home
