Funeral services for Mickey Ray Meals, 69, of Whitesboro were held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Carney officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro. He passed away Wednesday, February 17 at his home
He was born December 31, 1946, son of Marshall and Imogene Runyan Meals in Clarksville, Texas, He married Jean Bevan October 10, 1969.
He was self-employed and was a member of Bones Chapel Baptist Church. He served in Vietnam with the U.S.Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Tami Schares and husband, Douglas, of Whitesboro and Celisa Meals of Dallas; grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah and Devin Schares and Makayla Williams of Whitesboro; brothers, Andy Meals and Donnie Meals of Whitesboro; and Ellis Meals of Little Elm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melia Williams; and grandson, Blake Simmons.
