Ethel Hudspeth of Sherman, 89-year-old retired cook, passed away Friday, October 17, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center. Graveside services were held October 20 at Oakwood Cemetery; Rev. David Taylor, chaplain for Wilson N. Jones Medical Center, officiated.
Ethel was born November 1, 1918 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; she married Walter Rufus Hudspeth.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Ruth Spencer and husband, Donald, of Sherman; son, Jimmy E. Hudspeth of Sherman; granddaughter, Michelle Spencer Mercer and husband, Daniel, of Sherman; three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. - - - Waldo Funeral Home

Graveside services for Donald Ray Spencer, 70, were held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, with Chaplain David Taylor of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - WNJ in Sherman officiating.  Donald passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - WNJ in Shermn.
He was born July 20, 1942 in Sherman, son of Haskell Spencer and Mary Louise Bernard.  He married Mary R. Hudspeth July 14, 1972 in Durant, Oklahoma.  He worked at Burlington Industries for 25 years before its closing; he then worked as an LVN for Mullican Care Center and WNJ for a total of 12 years.  He was a Master Carpenter and Master Gardener.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years; daughter, Michelle Mercer and husband, Daniel, of Sherman; five grandchildren:
Avery Brown, Austin Brown, Zephen Yarnell, Victoria Mercer, and Destiny Mercer; five brothers, David Spencer and wife, Joyce; Laura Davis, Jerry Wayne Spencer, Paul Spencer, Bill Spencer and Jim Ed Browning; brother-in-law, JImmie Hudspeth.
He was preceded in death by his parents.



Graveside services for Mary Ruth Spencer, 68, of Sherman were held Tuesday, January 13 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro; Rev. David Taylor officiated.  Mary passed away January 10, 2015 at her brother, Jimmie's home.

She was born April 26, 1946 in Whitesboro, daughter of Walter Hudspeth and Ethel Stepp.  Mary graduated with a BA from the Assembly of God Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas.  She then pursued her RN degree through the Grayson County College.  She worked at Wilson N. Jones Hospital for 33 years.  During this time, she worked in Pediatrics, House Supervisor and retired while working as an ICU nurse.  She married Donald Ray Spencer July 14, 1972 in Durant, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her brother, Jimmie Hudspeth; daughter, MIchelle Mercer; five grandchildren: Avery Brown, Austin Brown, Zephen Yarnell, Victoria Mercer, and Destiny Mercer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. - - - Waldo Funeral Home
