Bob Hicks, 68, of Whitesboro died Friday at his home.  Born October 25, 1912 in Madill, Oklahoma, son of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Hicks.  He married Dorcas Tolleson December 11, 1947 in Yuma, Arizona.
Bob was owner and operator of an upholstery business prior to retiring.
Survivors are his wife; sons, Gary, Bob and Larry Hicks; daughters, Joretta Shope and Carolyn Rose; brother, Bill Hicks; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.


Whitesboro - Funeral services for Dorcas "Dot" Evans, 91, were held Saturday, March 5 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating.  Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery.  Dot passed away March 2, 2011 in Gainesville, Texas.
She was born January 19, 1920, daughter of William Reese Tolleson and Ida Mae Bridgefarmer.  She married Bob Hicks December 27, 1952.  He preceded her in death.  She married Rube Evans September 6, 1983, who also preceded her in death on April 11, 2000.
Dot had been a resident of the Whitesboro community all her life.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro.
Survivors include her sister, Billie Wilburn of Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews and friends; caregivers, Alice Trego and Ben and Vickie Grounds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren Tolleson and Byron Tolleson; sisters, Claudell Crockett and Maurine Cunningham.
