Whitesboro - Funeral services for Maurice M. (Potts) Malone, 78, were held Friday, March 15, 2013 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Jerry Davis and L.V. Phelps. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro. Mrs. Malone passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - WNJ in Sherman.
She was born November 22, 1934 in Kensing, Texas, daughter of Thomas L. Potts and Alma Moore. She married Claudell Malone December 6, 1950 at Childress, Texas. She was a member of North Hills Baptist Church in Whitesboro and retired from Texas Instruments.
Survivors include her husband; son, Mark Malone and wife, Lisa, of Whitesboro; daughter, Karen Lynch and husband, Gary, of Denton; eight grandchildren: Colton Baugh, Sunny Emery, Jared Lynch, Mark Malone, Jr., Toby Malone, Stormy Malone, Patrick Jones and Randal Jones; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Story of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Claudia Jo Baugh; two brothers, Jordan Potts and Jerry Potts; three sisters, Evelyn Story, Kay Story, and Iva Leslie Thomas.
Pallbearers were grandchildren.

Mark passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home after battling kidney cancer. He was born in Gainesville, Texas, son of Claudell Malone and Maurice Potts. He married Lisa Huntsman on December 7, 1990 in Whitesboro. Mark was a truck driver for 30 years; owned and operated his own business. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville.
He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Claudia Jo "Jodie" Malone Baugh; grandparents, Thomas and Grace Potts and Alvin and Delphia Malone.
